Cloud Distribution and GoGuardian Announce Chromebook Security Partnership
Providing detailed analytics, allowing IT Administrators to monitor how Chromebooks are being used across the campus or across the globe.
Sydney, NSW – 20 August 15, Cloud Distribution, a Value Added Cloud Distributor (VACD), today announced an exciting new partnership with GoGuardian Inc., a company at the forefront of cloud based security services for the K-12 Chromebook education market across the Asia Pacific market.
GoGuardian is a feature-filled suite of Chromebook management software which provides administrators with access to advanced analytic data, robust web filtering, and class-leading Anti-Theft services. Since launching in 2014, GoGuardian software now runs on over one million devices across 1,600 school districts worldwide.
“Educators and school officials need the best information possible to make educated decisions about the needs of students and school devices. GoGuardian provides this and more”, said Mark Winter, Managing Director at Cloud Distribution.
“Our ultimate goal is to provide device management software that helps educators improve learning outcomes, in multiple languages and all around the world—our partnership with Cloud Distribution is a significant step towards reaching that goal,” said Aza Steel, Founder and CEO of GoGuardian.
“The growing trend of 1:1 technology programs in schools has created a demand for efficient and comprehensive oversight”, said Jason Burn Co-founder and Sales Director at Cloud Distribution. “Before GoGuardian, many schools had no way of knowing what students were accessing through school bought Chromebooks.” “This severely impeded administrators’ ability to form and implement effective policies for safe internet usage.” GoGuardian provides the technology educators need to make informed, data driven decisions, about internet usage. Allowing administrators to create a climate that fosters learning and productivity,” Jason concluded.
In January of this year Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) began implementing its ambitious one-to-one computer initiative that will see 661,000 students with Chromebooks all being managed by GoGuardian. With GoGuardian’s software, Chromebooks are safe and easy to manage, making them an obvious choice for school districts of all sizes.
GoGuardian will be available immediately from Cloud Distribution and their reseller partners and a fully functional evaluation is available to allow clients and partners alike to try.
